OUR METHOD:

Children’s Yoga & Trauma-Sensitive Approach

Children's Yoga + Conscious Caretaking

Receive practical guidelines on how to infuse your teaching style with the sacred traditions and philosophy to create a more dynamic learning experience, consciously communicating with yourself and your students.

You will have an in-depth look not only into the stages of child development + age appropriate behavior management and activities, but also: physical and energetic Anatomy and Physiology, Mindfulness & Meditation, the 8 Limbs of Yoga ⏤ including Asana and Pranayama techniques.

Plus, get insights on how to create a cohesive class that brings it all together.

Observe and lead classes to acclimate to guiding your students / children into being more conscious and proactive human beings, through a Trauma Informed lense.

Together we dive into the research about the ground breaking phenomenon of Trauma Sensitive Children’s Yoga.

Trauma-Sensitive Facilitation

We will explore the concept of Trauma Informed Facilitation by discussing what trauma is on an anatomical level and how this manifests in our bodies and mental states.

As we learn about the anatomical and energetic body systems, and their complexities, we are able to gain an understanding of how trauma expresses itself in young people.

We discover how yoga can be extremely helpful in managing triggers so that we move from reactive to responsive states of being.

We will explain cueing, behavior management and more, all from a trauma sensitive lense.

Although we cannot assume or assure that anyone feels safe, we can empower them to use their voices and take affirming actions to self-regulate while co-regulating in groups.

SoulWork™ Values

Who do we serve?
In order to preserve the depth, sanctity, and safety of our SoulWork™ programs, it is important that all of our community members share the same core values:

Value #1:

You are curious about the relationship between Social Justice and the power of the Yoga practice to uplift and empower our communities.

Value #2:

You are curious about being connected to our Himalayan lineage, and you are curious about and intend to make efforts to avoid cultural appropriation and explore the practice in its cultural, emotional, psychological, energetic, and physical depths.

Value #3:

You recognize (and are curious to learn more about) the harm caused by injustice, and you are committed to prioritizing creating a safe space for the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ members of our community.

What our students have to say about us:

This is our SoulWork™

Our human condition can be very challenging. As caregivers especially - finding our voice, our power, our courage - can be a confusing dance between heartbreak and healing.

The more we get into this work, the more we see the “stories” repeat themselves. We all have similar pains, struggles, fears, doubts, so we do the work of the soul to share our internal dialogue and come together in a sacred brotherhood to share the truth enshrined in our hearts.

This, is what we strive to offer. An opportunity for seekers to come together and be heard, seen and felt, and then have the courage to break the chains of old and limiting ideas or ways of being. Awakening to a new confidence, a new power, a new clarity in our role in healing our families and our world.

Community. Accountability. Sisterhood.

By joining the SoulWork™ family, you also get access to:

  • SoulWork™ Monthly Intimacy Circle: An opportunity to all current and former students, to cultivate much needed connection with one another, share and explore the beautiful mixture of Eastern, Western and Oriental teachings into our own self healing and union with one another. Once a month Zoom session.
  • SoulWork™ Visionary Q+A Sessions: Monthly SoulWork™ Visionary Q+A Sessions with Adi Shakti to answer your business questions. FREE access to once a month sessions on the first Monday of every month.
  • Access to the SoulWork™ Facebook Group: Connect to all SoulWorkers + Conscious Leaders worldwide, create networking and connection opportunities.
